The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has launched the inaugural Uganda Women Super League (UWSL) with 16 participating clubs — more than double the previous women's competition — backed by a UGX 480 million prize fund and a ground-breaking two-year broadcast partnership with NBS TV.
FUFA President Moses Magogo described the launch as "the biggest structural investment in women's football in Uganda's history," noting that the prize money for the champions alone (UGX 120 million) exceeds the entire previous women's cup budget.
The league kicks off on 15 March, with Lady Doves FC and She Corporate tipped as favourites.
