The 12th Annual Nile Special Marathon is set to take place in Jinja on the morning of 15 March 2026, with a record 4,200 registered participants — nearly double last year's field — drawn from 22 countries.
A new half-marathon category has been added this year, alongside the full marathon and 10km fun run. The full marathon prize purse has been increased to UGX 15 million for the overall winner.
