The 2026 Gulu Districts Inter-Schools Music Festival Semifinals take place at St. Joseph's College Layibi over two days. Twenty secondary schools from Gulu, Amuru and Nwoya districts compete in traditional and choral music, drama and folk dance categories.
Top performers in each category advance to the National Schools Music Festival in Jinja in June. Schools widely considered contenders include Sir Samuel Baker S.S., Gulu High School, Sacred Heart Girls and St. Mary's College Lacor.
Entry for spectators is free. Mega FM will broadcast Saturday's finals live and stream them on the Mega FM YouTube channel.
Teachers, parents and community members are encouraged to come in large numbers to support their schools.
