Ugandan musician Azawi made history at the BET Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, taking home the Best International Act: Africa award — becoming only the second Ugandan artist to win the coveted prize after Eddy Kenzo in 2015.
Azawi, born Priscilla Zawedde, accepted the award via video due to travel constraints, thanking her fans: "This is for every young girl in Kampala who was told her dream was too big."
