Tickets for Nyege Nyege International Music Festival 2026 sold out in 48 hours, organisers confirmed on Monday, with all 12,000 passes across General, Camping and VIP tiers claimed before supplies were exhausted — a record for the eight-year-old festival held annually on the banks of the Nile in Jinja.
This year's lineup features over 200 artists from 45 countries, headlined by South Africa's Black Coffee, Mali's Fatoumata Diawara, and a headlining Ugandan bloc featuring Zuchu, Spice Diana and Winnie Nwagi.
Nyege Nyege, which Rolling Stone named "Africa's Best Music Festival" in 2025, has become a key driver of tourism revenue for Jinja, generating an estimated $8.4 million in economic activity during festival week.
