Gravity Omutujju has been crowned winner of Clash of the Giants 2026, Uganda's most popular lyrical battle competition, defeating King Saha in a gripping final round that was watched live by over 80,000 viewers across YouTube and Facebook.
The contest, now in its fifth year, pits the country's top Luganda lyricists against each other in audience-voted rounds based on wordplay, storytelling and delivery. Gravity secured 67% of the final vote.
"Luganda is a language of kings," Gravity said in his victory speech. "Every time I step on this stage I carry our culture with me." He receives UGX 25 million and a Mega FM station residency for one month.
