The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has unveiled eTAX 2.0, a completely redesigned digital tax filing platform that will replace the current system from 1 April 2026.
"eTAX 2.0 reduces the average filing time from 40 minutes to under 10 minutes," said URA Commissioner General John Musinguzi. "We are also introducing instant refund processing for compliant taxpayers."
Businesses are encouraged to register on the new platform before the switch date at portal.ura.go.ug. Training webinars will be held weekly throughout March.
