The Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) has signed a landmark five-year supply agreement with Italian coffee giant Lavazza, committing to supply 12,000 metric tonnes of premium Arabica coffee per year — a deal worth approximately $240 million annually.
The agreement, signed in Rome, represents the largest single coffee export deal in Uganda's history and will benefit an estimated 500,000 smallholder farmers.
