The Gulu City Annual Marathon 2026 takes place this Saturday, starting from Gulu Municipal Stadium at 7:00 AM. Competitors can enter the 10 km fun run or the full 42.2 km race.
Cash prizes on offer: UGX 2,000,000 for the men's and women's marathon winners, UGX 500,000 for the 10 km category winners. Registration is UGX 15,000 (10 km) and UGX 25,000 (full marathon) — register at Gulu Municipal Stadium offices or via Mega FM's online form.
The route passes through Gulu town centre, along Jinja Road, through Layibi and back to the stadium. All road users are advised to expect partial closures between 7 AM and 1 PM.
Proceeds support the Gulu Road Safety Foundation.
